__the P E R S O N

Personality: Violet is a very determined person. She has a very headstrong personality, and on not-so-rare occasions this leads her to butt heads with some people. Basically, she knows what she wants and she intends to get it regardless of what stands in her way. She isn't generally what you would consider a mean person, but nobody really classifies her as nice.

Violet is very mature for her age, she tends to look to the future and make long term plans. She would like to be bethroved before she leaves Hogwarts. Of course, at the tender age of 14 she is still a little wayward sexually, but nothing that won't be corrected with a little practice. Violet will, however, admit that it is a little gross for a 14 to have sex, especially depending on the age of the other person.

Typically Violet manages to be fairly studious, but she lapses, much like any young girl. She refuses, though, to be caught up in any tweeny-bopper drama. That is far below her. Despite the family that she comes from, Violet acts very much like every other snooty pureblood little girl. The thing that often annoys her is that due to her age many people do not take her seriously, a mistake on their part. It's hard for her to get things moving, at 14 she lacks her own connections and her family sure doesn't have any.

History: Growing up Violet was raised as a normal Weasley is raised, kind and accepting and grateful for what they have. No one is quite sure how she turned out the way she did. Regrettably, Violet is related to the obnoxious Head Boy, Walter. Her father, William, is Walter's father's brother. Violet's mother was another pureblood, but from some small, no-name family on it's dying leg. Much to Violet's disdain, that makes Walter her cousin.

Luckily, as Violet saw it, the two branches of the Weasley families were too poor to visit eachother often, so the most she would have to see her cousins was maybe one week out of the summer. All parties involved agree that was more than enough. Violet never shared the Wizarding World's enthusiam for her cousin Wilma, and instead enjoyed ruining her. The two never really met, considering their age difference, but with a little snooping around Walter's house she could find pictures of Wilma going through varoius stages of puberty. The chubby stage, the acne stage, etc. These made great photos for Witch Weekly or the Daily Prophet.

Upon reaching Hogwarts Violet was delighted to have been sorted into Slytherin, but she suffered greatly due to her name. She quickly cleared that up, but had to work on her appearance. She was very meagerly dressed, for whatever obscene reason the Weasley's never do seem to be able to hold onto money. Violet was able to find very generous benefactors, however, to spruce up her wardrobe and such.

Now, in her fourth year at Hogwarts, Violet is doing her best in her campaign to clear the Weasley name. Violet hopes to one day become a Death Eater, or at least associated with them, and she knows that she can't do that unless she clears her families' name. That may be perhpas her biggest goal in life, restoring honor to her name. Not that she cares about her family, they can go run off and die, just her own name. Violet worries that as a Weasley no good Pureblood man will want to marry her, and if she's going to be stuck with the name Weasley she's not going to let it be trash.

Appearance: Violet does not look her age. In fact, most often she is mistaken as at least a fifth or sixth year. It makes for very awkward conversations when the person who was just hitting on her realizes she's only a fourth year. It makes them even more awkward when this doesn't bother them.

Violet has the standard red Weasley hair, but she manages to tame it and not allow it to be quite as obnoxious as most. In the summer if she gets enough sun her hair turns to a strawberry blonde. Violet has green eyes, and right now only stands about 5'2" but she figures she may have a few inches left to grow. She keeps herself very preened, always keeping her eyebrows neat and any amount of makeup just right.
