Personality: Jezz’s big eyes and warm smile do a lot to hide the cold, hating, spiteful bitch that nestles at her black, black core. She is the epitome of looks being deceiving, and she does this on purpose; she finds that it’s a lot easier to get ahead in life with a sweet exterior because few people are really interested about what’s on the inside. Although not many know exactly how deep the rabbit hole of her soul is, they can get an idea when she’s having a bad day or when insulted because she lets loose some of the biting bitterness without mercy. She isn’t afraid to fight, and actually welcomes anyone who wants to duel; she’s been trained for all sorts of combat since she was a young child, and can definitely hold her own in a fight despite her size, whether with a wand or fists. This ferocious attitude makes her a vicious beater for the Slytherin Quiddith team, and considering how light she is on her zippy Silver Arrow, she’s quite the opponent to match.

She would rather go out shopping and spend her Daddy’s fortune than spend time with other students or studying, and thus she’s a less than average student who does only what she needs to do to get passing marks and only has a few friends. These friends are in one of two categories: those that Jezz manipulates and uses, and those that know the real Jezz and accept her because they are the same way. Obviously, the latter is a much smaller category than the former. She likes to treat the people she gets close to, however, by taking them on her lavish shopping extravaganzas in London, Paris, and Rome to help buy their affection and loyalty.

Jezz hates muggles with an unbridled passion because of the unspeakable acts committed against her family, and there’s always a sneer on her fair-skinned face when she comes across a muggle-born student or staff member; it comes from the gruesome thoughts of murder she conjures in her mind. She commits herself to knowing the Pureblood families and mingles with them when she can to help form bonds that will benefit her when she is old enough to finally become a Death Eater (one of her most revered life goals). Having come from a prestigious southern Pureblood family, Jezzi prides herself on her manners when in the company of other Purebloods, but won’t think twice about being as rude as possible to Mudbloods.

History: Born and raised in the rural outskirts of New Orleans, Jezz lived in a large plantation house that had been in her family for over four generations; her great grandfather served in the Civil War as part of the secret special ops Wizard Division while her great aunt and great grandmother defended the mansion with the help of a young British slave boy named Pyle. Her father showed promise of great battling capabilities when he was shipped overseas to attend Hogwarts where he met Jezz’s mother, Roz. They both returned to America upon graduating and got married only a month later; nine months after that, Jezzibelle Layne Madison was born. The apple of her parents’ eyes, Jezz was put in etiquette classes when she was old enough to really perceive herself and each year for her birthday she received a dozen brand new dresses as well as a new pet. Although she took meticulous care of her dresses, her pets always seemed to turn up missing or meet their demise before long.

By the time that she was eight, Jezzi had accumulated quite the wardrobe and had developed a very spoiled demeanor; upon discovering her blooming magical abilities, her little pets disappeared faster than ever, and the neighbors started to take notice of strange happenings around the family’s land. They began to watch the household much more closely, and when someone observed Roz performing magic in what she thought to be the safety of one of her barns it wasn’t long before the accusations came flooding forward with the tide of a lynch mob. On a cool autumn night, the rural community gathered and descended on the household; they took the law into their own hands to deal with the “dangerous” witch that had been discovered in their midst.

The family never saw it coming. Torches lit and weapons in hand, the members of the community broke through the front doors during dinner and dragged the family into the front yard. Because Roz had been the one seen firsthand, she was the first to be dealt with. She was strung up by her ankles from a tree branch and a large fire was lit beneath her: Jonas had been restrained and beaten to the point of being unable to do anything, while Jezz was forced to watch as her mother burned to death. Roz was six months pregnant at the time. By the time that they had begun to bring Jezz to the fire to be burned her father managed to break free and obtain his wand. Holding her tight as they were swarmed by angry muggles, they disaperated to the horse barn and fled on horseback to the city.

They stayed with the Beauregard family for a little over a week: enough time to obtain passports, all of their savings, and two tickets to London, England. The two families had always been linked in their Pureblood heritages and the Madisons were welcomed upon word of the horrible news. The tragic incident of the Southern Pureblood family rippled through international wizard headlines and followed Jonas and Jezz while they got settled once more. Jezz, obviously, couldn’t cope with what had happened and had several breakdowns over the course of her early childhood. To this day, she often has nightmares of that fateful night, which has prompted occasional insomnia in the girl (she’ll go for a span anywhere from four days to two weeks without going through a proper sleep cycle, which causes great disturbances in her behaviors, moods, and mental stability). Her loathing of muggles stems from her Pureblood background but mainly from this incident; as eager as she is to pursue the same career as her father, she is also bitter that he spends so much time focusing on muggles, even if it’s because he kills them.

During her first year at Hogwarts she spent a lot of time in the infirmary and was involved in rather suspicious activity that was kept very hush-hush with the help of Blake Malfoy, the Slytherin Pureblood who saw much potential in young Jezzibelle. From her second year onward, she learned a lot about how to cover up her feelings and activities and grows to be a better actress by the day. During summers and holidays, she lives in a large London flat with the silver-haired and serious family butler, Pyle. He acts as her caretaker and guardian, for he is a wizard of amazing ability and power that has known both Jonas and Jezz for all of their lives. While he isn’t much for company, he makes do as someone for Jezz to love and hold dear, as callous as they both are. Needless to say, she treats him like shit just as much as she does anyone else.

Appearance: Jezz is still growing into herself, but she probably won’t get much beyond the 5’1” that she’s currently at. A little, skinny thing that looks more seeker material than beater, she is surprisingly strong (perhaps driven by her constant loathing) and agile on a broomstick. It’s hard to get her to don just any old practice robes, however, because she surely won’t wear the sweaty rags that are provided from the Slytherin team. Instead, she sports a black sweatsuit beneath emerald robes. Because she couldn’t tolerate any old team uniform, either, she had a robe with more bold Slyterthin colors personally tailored. Aside from that, she can be found in little dresses or layered outfits of neutral colors. Jezz is especially fond of furs, and has an affinity for silver (and green) jewelry.

Her eyes are slate gray and usually accented in dark makeup, and her long blond hair is never without some sort of hair product in it; usually she goes for the full-body look by tossing it in loose curls or blowing it out to look something like a tamed mane. She likes to keep her makeup as neutral as the colors she wears because her eyes, jewelry and hair are as colorful as she wants to be. If she wears any color as far as clothing, it’s usually an animal print on her high heels (which she mastered a few years ago).
