Personality: Monica can sometimes be very withdrawn. A lot of things haven't really gone well for her in life, so she tends not to bother getting her hopes up. There are a lot of things she wants, that she aspires to in life, but she doubts she'll achieve them. Can we say self-esteem issues? They aren't horribly prevalent, and you don't peg her right off the bat for an emo little girl, but they show themselves as you get to know her or when she becomes stressed.
Monica always thinks that if she could just get ahold of one good thing in her life, one thing that would make her happy, she wouldn't give it up. Not for the world. Right now she's not doing so bad in school, but that just simply isn't making her happy. She's not sure what she wants to do, or even if she was she probably wouldn't tell you. You wouldn't think she could do it.
Likes: Astronomy, compliments, quidditch, Dislikes: DADA, the uniforms, Slytherins,
History: Monica was raised in a lower middle class family. Her father was a wizard, but his family was of no particular importance or esteem, they were just nobodies of the wizarding world. Needless to say, it wasn't unusual that he would find love in a muggle woman who found him very special because of the magic that posessed. He fell for her, she got bored once the novelty wore off. Unfortunately, that was after they were married and had their child.
Growing up, Monica's father loved her very much. Her mother, however, was busy. Monica always had suspicions that her mother might be cheating on her father, but she never mentioned them. She thinks maybe her father knew as well, he was always very sad. The household as it was, Monica found all her support in her father. Her mother was never there for her, even in very key points in a young girl's life. Monica's father would have to take care of all of that.
In her third year of school, at the tender age of 13, Monica's father passed away. She was completely distraught, feeling as if she had lost her best friend. Her mother was less than helfpful, and didn't seem to feel the need to step up her presence in her daughter's life at all. Before that, Monica had found something of a surrogate mother in Hogwart's nurse, Lacy. Monica often faked illness in order to spend time with Lacy (and perhaps miss class, especially Professor Malfoy's). After her father's passing Monica couldn't stand anything, and tried to take her own life. No one found out about this but Lacy, but after seeing the look in Lacy's eyes, the disappointment, Monica couldn't stand to be around the woman since.
From that point on Monica has mangaed, four years later, to avoid the infirmary completely. Even at Quidditch matches, she would hide any injuries until afterwords and have a teammate fix them up for her. Now, Monica is a seventh year struggling under the weight of N.E.W.T. classes and just trying to maintain some sort of balance in her life. She doesn't want to be "that girl", the dysfunctional girl, the emo you fail at killing yourself girl.

Appearance: Because she is on the Quidditch team, Monica is relatively fit. She's always had a slim figure, and is usually reluctant to dress it up. She usually feels that anything flattering at all is probably too slutty, or the likes. Monica knows that her body isn't horrible, but she's not very proud of it.
Monica has black hair, typically some sort of straight and a bit above waist length. She often styles it though, because she likes to play dress-up. Any appropriate occasion, of course. Halloween, costume parties, etc. Her eyes are a very gray, slate sort of blue. On a normal basis she doesn't tend to wear a lot of make-up. It takes her too long to put it on.
In a world that I don't want to know, with a message that I never want to send To be freed from all of this I want you to quicken my end Don't tell me I cannot go, with a wound that refuses to mend Deliver me from all of this, I need you to quicken my end
