Personality: Rom is a gruff man, given to being quiet and reserved unless he knows you well, or likes you. But few people actually get to know him, and he doesn’t like many people at all. He used to be much happier and more easygoing, but his wife’s death changed that.
History: Rom was a prefect and then Head Boy during his years at Hogwarts, and went on to become an Auror after his graduation. He had just completed his training when his new wife Sarah, a muggleborn, contracted an incurable case of dragon pox and died a few weeks later. He threw himself into his work, joining the Order once it was formed and fighting against Voldemort with the same determination that had made him the leader of his Auror team.
He’s remained close to his wife’s family, which by now consists of her sister, brother-in-law, and niece, all muggles, and spends holidays with them. His own family, which had strongly disapproved of his House (but couldn’t do a damn thing about it, since he’s the only heir), had grudgingly accepted his wife, but despise her kin and refuse to acknowledge the fact that they exist.
When the old Potions Mistress retired (two years prior), though, he quit the Aurors, applying for the position of Potions Master at Hogwarts, a move by the Order to put more of their own firepower there to watch over the school. He was surprised by the fact that he actually does enjoy teaching, and his students enjoy his classes, surprisingly even the Slytherins, since he often stretches the rules regarding what exactly he’s allowed to teach them.
Appearance: Tall, at 6’2”, dark, and rather ruggedly handsome, although not classically so. He’s a Black through and through, though, with his hair and his pale eyes.
He typically dresses in nice robes, although on weekends he wears muggle clothes (usually his favorite leather jacket) to visit his wife’s sister, a muggle, and her husband and daughter.

Can Blake's mother (Ophelia) be his dad's (I assume his dad is the Black) younger sister? I need a pureblood family for her to come from, and everyone loves the Blacks...
