Personality: As most people know, Blake Malfoy has plenty of personality. Publically, he often is polite and witty, and even charming, especially to people he considers on par (or near, at least) with him socially. He is at heart a politician, as the sole heir to the Malfoy name and fortune, and there has never been someone more patently blueblooded. He can waltz, he can play the piano, speaks french and can recite his family's lineage backwards in his sleep. Family, and duty, are everything.
Of course, adherence to the rules of the upper crust of pureblood society doesn't stop his temper. He is almost constantly mad (or annoyed) about something or other, and oftentimes will explode at people, especially people he considers inferiors (everyone).
And about 99% of the population is just that, to him: inferior. He rarely cares enough about a person to even recognize their existence, let alone have thoughts or feelings about them. And if he does, it is generally a thought of hatred. Or loathing. Even fewer people he actually likes; that number can be counted on one hand. And even those people he has problems trusting or admitting to liking at all.
Aside from that, personality-wise, Blake is pretty much your standard sociopath. He doesn't really understand emotions, and in fact has no capacity for guilt or empathy at all. He spends every moment of every day faking most emotions based on observations he's made, watching other people, and intellectual decisions based on that knowledge rather than any raw emotion or understanding of emotional situations.
Likes: Women, good clothes, hair products, learning new curses, reading, firewhisky, imagining people he hates dead, killing people he hates Dislikes: Cats. Little cats, he finds annoying as hell. SOBLOODYANNOYINGFUCKINGCATS. He also holds a great dislike for dogs. And muggles and muggle-borns, which probably should have come before cats and dogs. Honestly, for this list, just anything that isn't on his "like" list. He has a negative opinion on just about everything you can have a negative opinion on. History: Born to Devon and Ophelia (Black) Malfoy, at birth the heir to the Pure and Honorable Malfoy name, Blake spent most of his younger days alternately spoiled rotten and worked mercilessly. Though he was rarely denied anything he wanted, and could often get anything he was denied just by outwitting his mother, Blake was always expected to be perfect at everything, especially when it came to magic. This has led to his perfectionist streak, of course, as well as an exceedingly ridiculous work ethic.
Of course, this led to many arguments with his father in his later years, as no one (not even Blake, though he'll be the first to tell you he's as close as you can get) is perfect. Devon was not a terribly kind father, and when he bothered with Blake at all, it was always to chastise him for something, and usually in a painful manner.
Still, in general, Blake feels as though his was a fairly proper upbringing. He had no friends his age, but spent most of his time with tutors and other adults, which he admits made him mature faster than most children his age, contributing to his haughty attitude in school.
He was betrothed to a girl named Lynette Langdon when he was a nine (she was one); they have yet to marry, but are now engaged formally, waiting until Lynette is a bit older to wed (she is only 17, in her last year at Beauxbatons). She is the only heir to the Langdon line, a very wealthy and influential French Pureblood family, which makes them a perfect match.
Eleven years ago, his parents had another child, Candy. At first, Blake didn’t know what to think about her, but as time has passed, he has grown quite fond of her, despite his usual dislike for children. She is spoiled rotten as well, and gets away with more than he did, but he doesn’t mind. He seems to think that she’s the best thing since wands were invented.
That’s probably his only soft side, though; he’s been a Death Eater since he was of age, joining the Dark Lord’s cause willingly in the effort to make the Wizarding World a more pure place. He was one of the first followers of the cause, and he follows the Dark Lord’s orders efficiently and with zeal. He has been rewarded a high standing in the Dark Lord’s inner circle for his efforts.
On the Dark Lord’s orders, he joined the Hogwarts staff 4 years ago, suddenly requesting a position as the Transfiguration teacher after having been employed as a Curse Breaker for Gringotts for several years since graduation at the top of his class. Now, he lives at Hogwarts, and has progressed to the Head of Slytherin House, as well as Deputy Headmaster. From that position, his work for the Dark Lord has been made much easier.
Six years ago, his father died, reportedly from a heart condition, though Devon was still a fairly young man. This leaves Blake as the Heir to the Malfoy name and fortune, aside from what his mother inherited (she and his sister live in their ancestral home currently, though Blake owns it). Many people speculate that Blake may have had something to do with his father’s death, though he was conveniently out of the country at the time his father died. Of course, these people are one hundred percent correct; Blake orchestrated the whole thing, though he has never outright told anyone the truth.
Appearance: Blake is tall, at 6’2”, and built rather well, having been athletic in his school years, though he has little time for Quidditch these days. He has blue-green eyes that are normally more blue than green but change with mood. His hair, along with his personality, is very blonde, and arguably the best hair ever seen by the mortal eye.
He prefers to dress in traditional robes, usually, though never lacking in style. Underneath, he usually has a shirt and tie on, never one for dressing “down.” Picture:

Special Abilities: Unregistered Animagus - Bengal Tiger
Also, helped to create the Purgo spell, which cleans clothing much better than Tergeo, but doesn't clean anything else. Beyond that, he has learned enough basic Occlumency to keep certain things that shall remain unmentioned from the Dark Lord.
Wand: 14", Ash, Runespoor Fang. His wand is exceedingly temperamental, and will not work for anyone but Blake. In fact, it goes beyond that. It doesn't just not work; it actively seeks to hurt the person who attempts to use it. Familiar: Owl, a barn owl. Patronus: A (white) mare. He has never explained the reason behind this to anyone. Actually, he's probably never delved too deeply into it himself. Other: Definitely a sociopath. Don't tell him that.
*Emily Pryce was the bastard child of Devon Malfoy and Laura Pryce. She was killed, along with her mother, when she was six and Blake was nine. He was present at the time of her death and partially responsible. No one left alive knows she existed besides Blake.
