Personality: Nora is your typical girl that spent too long being sheltered from the world. She knew quite well what went on in her home despite Connor’s best efforts to shield her from them. Unfortunately, the repressive attitude of her brother and mother has caused her to rebel in her teenage years. Rather than the quiet, innocent girl who liked to study and pick flowers, she’s turned to sex, drugs, and rock and roll (literally). Recently, she has began to feel certain feelings toward other girls, especially Petria, and isn’t quite sure how to handle the idea that she may, in fact, be a lesbian.

She believes herself to be incredibly mature, especially since she is a year older than most of her fourth year classmates. And in some ways, she is very mature for a fifteen year old, but at other times, her naïve nature really shines through. Such as the fact that she could run her own household and is quite well experienced in the harsh ways of the world, but she still doesn’t comprehend a lot of things beyond her own perspective. She is a bit blind as to how her ideals apply to herself.

Aside from her recent forays into ‘adult’ life, Nora is still a child at heart. She still believes in fairy tales romances (in the form of one Petria Grey) and still sets out cookies for Father Christmas, although she would never admit it to anyone. Growing up in inner-city London has given her just a touch of ghetto 'sass' to accompany her serious abandonment issues and general disregard for the male species.

Secrets:

History: Nora was conceived in a broken home. Her mother, Josephine, had given birth to her brother Connor two years previous, and their little family struggled hard to stay together. Her father, David Remington, never wanted children and wanted a life of his own. When Josephine became pregnant with Nora, David, realizing his dreams would forever become unachievable with a second child, left his family in the middle of the night, never to be heard of again. Josephine gave birth to Nora Mason later that year.

Growing up, Josephine worked a day job as a paper pusher in the Ministry, and worked evenings at the local pub, serving firewhiskey to men with big egos and even bigger bellies. Nora spent most of her childhood being raised by her older brother, who was only two years older himself. Men passed through the Mason household like water; it seemed Josephine had a new boyfriend every week. And even though Connor tried to shield her from her family’s troubles, she knew her mother often brought home men from the pub to make ends meet. But despite the apparent dysfunction, the Mason family was a loving one, and somehow they always made it through.

When Connor left for Hogwarts, Nora felt a new sense of responsibility that she never had before. Where Connor had previously made certain she was well-fed, healthy and taken care of, she suddenly had to pick up such tasks with little to no aid. Her mother still worked long hours, from the crack of dawn until late in the evening, so nine year old Nora learned to fend for herself.

Her eleventh year was the hardest, when she knew she would already be attending Hogwarts if she had only been born three months earlier. However, when she did begin her education at the wizarding school, she was quite thrilled to be placed in Hufflepuff. The still-innocent Nora found many friends from all walks of life, and began to discover herself and develop her own moral center.

When Nora turned fourteen however, puberty hit and things changed drastically. Her once girl-like body filled out with robust curves and she began to get attention from her male friends that she never had before. Her busy mother never had time for the ‘birds and the bees’ talk, and Connor was way too embarrassed to broach the subject, so Nora learned from pop culture and common room talk, hence the cause of much her current behavior and attitude.

One day while playing Quidditch, Nora found herself quite fascinated with the figure and general attitude of the Ravenclaw Keeper. Quite surprised to learn that the Keeper was in fact another girl, Nora denied her feelings for Petria for nearly the entire year. However, after hearing of the girl pulling several hilarious stunts both on and off the Quidditch pitch, Nora began to accept her feelings and realize she was quite taken with the older girl. Now that Connor is dating Petria’s good friend Aubrey, Nora has more reason than ever to find herself in the same place at the same time as Petria. This is all totally coincidental, of course.

Appearance: Nora stands at an average 5’5” tall. Her recently developed body now has curves in all the right places, for which she is quite thankful. Her hair is straight, and naturally very dark brown, almost black. She also has eyes that very from dark brown to honey depending on the day.

Her typical attire consists of mostly Muggle clothes, because of costs and personal preference. She’s not entirely fond of school uniforms, and tends to change out of them immediately after classes. Generally, she favors poofy dresses and other typical girly attire.
